A food not to be eaten before swimming: Fritos. I was debating about when the best time would be to head to the pool today. Do I leave around 11:30 and get there closer to 12 when there might be a lunch rush? Do I wait until noon to leave to get there a little after the lunch rush and hope that it isn't crowded/won't I be starving? I ended up waiting until after noon, unfortunately this meant I got hungry and just grabbed the first thing I saw around my desk. Usually when I get back from workouts I'm STARVING for something salty. I usually buy a bag of chips and eat a few and the stash the bags. As a result, I have a lot of random chip bags. I didn't have that many before the swim, but enough that I was feeling it for a bit. Only managed to do about 2000 yards: 250, 750, 500, 500. Regardless of the stitch, the swim felt good.
Yesterday I ran 2 miles and biked about 12 in 30 minutes. I'm not the biggest fan of biking, but my stomach has been bothering me so much this week that running isn't really an option and I should probably practice the bike a bit before this tri.
Don't know how much exercise I'll manage this weekend in Baltimore, but hopefully there will be at least some physical activity.
